I was recently asked to speak at Oconto Falls Washington Middle School Career Day. I spent the day talking with some 8th grade groups about photography, owning your own business, and how to be successful at both. A few things we discussed were photographic equipment, costs of a professional photography business, and schooling options if they wanted to choose photography as a career. I also showed them some fun techniques for digital enhancements on portraits. A few students were lucky enough to be photographed as well. I took each student's "picture" and then also created a "portrait" for them hopefully showing the difference between professional and amateur with lighting and posing. Here are some of the images from that day.
